Joinville, April 27, 2023 – Tupy S.A. (“Company”, B3: TUPY3) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that it has disclosed the Company’s 2022 Sustainability Report.
The new edition of the report, in line with best practices, was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The report, unprecedentedly, also complies with the disclosure topics and metrics established by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and elements of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) proposed by the Value Reporting Foundation.
In the report, we present our initiatives, investments and partnerships aimed at developing products and services that contribute to reduce the carbon footprint of current and potential customers, which was expanded with the recent acquisition of MWM do Brasil.
With more than 650 thousand tons of scrap transformed into high value-added products, Tupy promotes a circular economy that enables benefits to society and the environment. Of the entire metallic material used in the manufacturing of the structural components developed by the Company, 93% come from recycling.
The document also emphasizes initiatives related to our commitment to human, intellectual and social capital. We promoted 389,000 hours of training and qualification for our employees, in addition to initiatives in communities that have benefited over 19 thousand people.
